Just before bed ...

It's time for bed.

I missed yesterday's post because I was exhausted.

Twenty-four hours with six girl scouts of our own and ten others and loads of walking and I broke 16K steps on my Vivofit on Saturday left me crashing and burning on Sunday and so I didn't post.

And I could be sad and mopey about it, and I do feel kind of meh that I missed, but I'm also moving along.

And so tonight - well - not much breaks my heart more than my daughter updating me on a song she's learning for her school holiday music performance than finding out it's partially in Hebrew and she thinks of my dad and misses him.

Heart.

Shatters.

What does one say except I love you and he loves you and I miss him, too and it will be okay and he hears you and sees you and is so very proud of you.

Always.

And then I remember this image that I see everywhere and found on Pinterest and on Facebook and am not really sure where it comes from originally but I'm sharing it so forgive me for not having a perfect source - but if you know where it truly is from let me know, please.

I hope beyond words that this is true. Because it will really help my heart if it is.

Good night, Pops. Love you.

  1. Big hugs to you and your girl. It's always hard missing them, but more so at this time of year.

  3. Oh man. Grief is hard. It is even harder with kids.

Sending you all the love today.

I believe completely that our loved ones can see us after they pass. And I know your father would be proud of you...and your daughter...every day.

  5. I believe it's true. I always say the one star by my mom's house that shines the brightest is my dad. It was there from the moment we lost him and remained in the same place for that entire month.
Sending you LOTS of love and hugs especially during this time. xoxo
