We ended up heading to Champps (really great service, and a really great turkey burger, but that will be a post for a different day) for dinner, and picked up cheesecake to bring home. We got home so late that I honestly wasn't even up for eating it. (Shocking! The horror!)
And so, this morning, at 11AM, I opened up my fridge and it called to me.
PC: Aaaandrea. Oh, Annndreaaaaa.
Me: I cannot see you or hear you. I have already broken the rules of the morning by having my 1/2 turkey burger leftovers for breakfast.
PC: You know you want me.
Me: Are you trying to be a Calle Ocho song now? Get over yourself.
PC: Just one bite. Then you can put me away.
Me: As if. I'm closing the door now. Shutting off the light. Go take a nap.
PC: See you in five ...
And sure enough, I caved. I took a few bites, but then, you know what? I went back and had a few more.
Of course, I attracted the attention of my wee one. It figures. So she herself has enjoyed a bite or two before noon. Ah, well. At least SHE had a normal breakfast! Two cups of Cheerios with vanilla soymilk IS normal, right?
As I opened up the refrigerator door I swear I heard:
"Welcome back, to that same old place that you laughed about ..."
Anyway, I didn't get through the entire slice. But man, it is SO good. I love fall. I love pumpkins. And I LOVE pumpkin cheesecake. Ahhh, yum.
That does sound good! I made home made pumpkin pie yesterday.
ReplyDeleteYummy! My pumpkin indulgence today was a pumpkin spice latte from Starbucks. This is just the beginning of the delicious and hard-to-resist holiday treats!
