Reading With Redneck: What's left for Fall?

My list of I hope to read books for this fall is a scattered bunch. Take a look and let me know if you've read any and think I'll enjoy them or not!

*
The Lost Symbol, Dan Brown* The Particular Sadness of Lemon Cake, Aimee Bender
*
Mr. Darcy Broke My Heart, Beth Patillo
*
The Wednesday Sisters, Meg Waite Clayton
*
Fresh Milk: The Secret Life of Breasts, Fiona Giles
*
My Fair Lady, Jen Lancaster
*
The Doctor & The Diva, Adrienne McDonnell
*
Getting There, Gerry Boylan
*
Say You're One of Them, Uwem Akpan

I am sure I have a ton more to add, I'm just not feeling motivated enough to head upstairs and dig through my *to be read* shelves. So there's a small sampling of what I know I'd like to get through. I kind of removed a few I haven't read yet that I've tried to carry over from challenge to challenge. We'll see. Maybe that will actually get me to READ them? Who knows!?! Reverse psychology on oneself isn't always the best way to get one to do something - wouldn't you agree?

Happy reading!

  1. The only one on your list I've read is The Lost Symbol. It was good. Fast paced, typical Dan Brown reading.

  2. I've read The Wednesday Sisters and My Fair Lazy. Thoroughly enjoyed both. Has Meg Waite Clayton written another? I wish she would! I'll have to look at some of the others on your list... Claire Cook off your summer list is on mine and I'm slowly working my way through The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society... enjoying it, just don't have much time and I've got an older Elin Hildebrand on deck.

  3. I am not familiar with many of the titles.
Brandee over at the Think Tank has me addicted to a nasty vamp series that has taken over my reading life. Only 4 more books to go and I am done with the series and can get on with my life!

  4. I really loved the Wednesday Sisters. Pretty much anything by that author is a win.

  5. Okay, I've got to admit I've only heard about one of the books, Dan Brown's. The others? Gotta say, the "Fresh Milk: The Secret Life of Breasts" had me thinking WTF? What, are our boobs spies or something?

I'd try Dan Brown's book first. Heard it was awesome. Plus I loved "Angels and Demons," so I know he's a good writer.

    Enjoy reading!

  6. I found you thru @erinlynn76. I love the gone-redneck aspect of your life. I blog on something similar (I call it "REdnecking can lead to redneckedness"). I"ll have to catch some of the books on your must-read list for fall!
