Eats like a teenager already?

What is the deal? How is it that my 2-1/2 year old eats like a teenager at this young age? I mean, I swear that I feed her. I really, really do.
And yet she can make her way through a box of frozen pancakes (large or minis) in under a week, she can shovel it in like nobody's business, and she needs every snack under the sun, all in 24 hours. Amazing.

So, when does it slow down? Because I can't go through groceries like this. Even with my master couponing skills, I'm still falling behind. Help!

  1. She may be going through a growth spurt. I remember the boys doing that when they were little. They'd eat like they had a hollow leg, grow two inches then the eating would slow down. Just keep feeding her!

  2. HAHA mine is the SAME way! We hear all these stories about how picky 2 year olds are...but my daughter missed that train. This morning she had a bowl of cereal, a banana, a piece of toast, and a cup of hot chocolate... yeah.

  3. LOL! I don't know that they grow out of it ever. The Girl is 9 and eats me out of house and home every afternoon! Best of luck!

  4. It's a phase! It's a phase! My son goes through days like that and then flips over to not wanting much of anything to eat. I've read that when they go through growth spurts they get crazy with the eating. Hang in there!
