All it takes is $1 ...

A dollar and a dream? You've got to be in it to win it?

No, I'm not trying to talk you into playing the lottery (these
are NY lottery slogans!) I'm telling you that all you need to do is spend $1 at Michael's, purchase a foam alphabet puzzle, and your 2 1/2 year-old (officially as of yesterday) will entertain themselves for hours.

She's attached to this little puzzle. She wanted it in the car. She wanted it in Chick-fil-a, but I had left it in the car, and she wanted to bring it into Wal-mart! When we got home she popped the letters out into her bucket and carried the whole thing upstairs, played it while I changed into my PJs, while we changed her into her PJs, and we put the whole thing back together before bed.

All for ONE DOLLAR! So if you haven't been to Michael's lately, you should seriously get over there. I never realized how many kid-friendly crafty and fun items they have, and how incredibly cheap they are. A steal of a deal!

  1. The best toys are the cheapest ones! To this day, my son STILL loves playing in big cartons. He's the master creator of cardboard "forts"
