My Summer Reading List

OK, so having reviewed my reading list for 2009 thus far, I have decided to make a summer reading list. Several of the books I want to get into are from my 2009 master list, so I hope to finally read them!

I currently own the first batch, but hope to get my hands on the rest, as well:

* The Middle Place, by Kelly Corrigan
* A Summer Affair, by Elin Hilderbrand
* Still Alice, by Lisa Genova
* How to be Lost, by Amanda Eyre Ward
* True Love and Other Lies, by Whitney Gaskell
* She, Myself & I, by Whitney Gaskell
* Love Walked In, by Marisa de los Santos

* Second Chance, by Jane Green
* The Next Thing on My List, by Jill Smolinski
* The Beach House, by Jane Green
* Audition, by Barbara Walters

As you can tell I am trying to stick to lighter reads as the summer approaches. It's already hot enough to *fry an egg on the sidewalk,* so I don't need to fry my brain, as well!

  2. Sure! No problem. I actually just added one that I forgot about. Hope we can read some of the same ones and discuss. Thanks for stopping by!

  3. I have a long list for the summer, too. At the rate I'm going, though, I might finish two books before the leaves start to turn. Must focus...

  4. I hear that. I keep remembering books I forgot to add to my list, which makes it even more difficult. I find joining a book club helps ensure that I finish, but makes it harder to read the stuff I want to read, when I have assignments.

Thanks for commenting, helps me remember I'm not alone!

  5. Looks like some good choices. I'll wait for my "personal" library to have them in stock and ready for lending. :)

Still working my way through Run by Ann Patchett, and I grabbed Handle with Care by Jodi Picoult at the library yesterday. So, that's on my list, too!

  6. Hey, D -- Your library will let you know when she has them in stock, I'm sure!
