I must confess something. I actually have a string of this ridiculous email in my inbox. From my very first personal email account, where I've saved so many memories from back in the day. Sadly, I had not yet learned that I could CC myself on my own responses, so I recreated those here. I hope you enjoyed some insight into Andrea of the late '90s.

  1. Oh, I hated those "Getting to know you" e-mails, but damned if I didn't fill every single one out and forward to 10 of my friends.

    Funny that you saved them.

  2. I always had trouble with these because I tend to have a small group of intimate friends...only a few who had e-mail...so I never had enough people to pass them on to!

    Loved the skinny dipping part!

  4. This brought back such great memories! I only wish I had thought to hold on to more of my early email correspondence. Even the chain letters. Especially those chain letters.

  9. Omgoodness, I remember how special those were at first. I think my mom even participated in one and i got to learn new things about her. It's rare that i fill them out now. But they were fun:)

Not a heavy metal fan? Not even Poison? Bon Jovi? (that's more glam rock, i guess) lol

  12. Wow, you kept old emails? That's awesome. I wished I had done that to some of the emails I had received.

Love, love those get-to-know questions. It gives me the false illusion that somebody actually wants to know about me. lol.

  14. Oh yes, we used to do that too - my friends and I. I am with you on hating 3:30 pm. That is my hardest time of day. I feel like eating the house.

  15. Those emails were the funniest and a little worrisome when I first received them. I wasn't sure if I should answer them or not. Thankfully, I only had a couple of friends who would send them to me.
Thank you for sharing yours. It was a kick to read.
