Memory Lane Fridays

Today's topic over at Memory Lane Fridays (at Lisa's "house!") asks me to post about a family pet. I never had pets growing up, but I'll share an old shot of my old man cat Shakan, who passed away before the new year:

These shots are several years old (and I mean SEVERAL) and long before he had any health issues and became super skinny man.

And if you're a new friend and want to see more pics and read my post from when he left us, here's the link to Sad Day.

  1. Andrea, thanks for playing! I hope more people will come over to join in. He is beautiful. So handsome. And you are right! He looks SO much like my Claude, especially in the face. I think their face stripes are just about identical!
I want to email you a link for a lady that does monthly contests where you can send in a picture of your 'pet angel' to win a necklace. I think he would look perfect with wings. :-)

  3. Very cute cat! I never was able to have a cat because I am allergic. :( I'm loving this Memory Lane Friday. I am trying to post one for today right now!

  8. What a pretty cat. Looks like he had lots of personality! I just lost a totally cool cat a few months ago... "got skinny" - I related to that. He was probably about 19 and was so cool that I would catch him smoking ciggies in the back yard and sharing them with the mice. Your cat looks like he would have joined in!
